Although interactive map coverage is abundant in urban areas it is definitely not the case once you get off of the beaten path. Outdoor adventure seekers are often faced with the task of amalgamating maps and map data from different, unknown sources when pre-planning trips and hoping that they can safely navigate the wilderness once there.
Off The Grid is Canada's first 3D mapping platform built specifically for outdoor adventure seekers.
We are combining custom map data collected alongside top outdoor oriented businesses, clubs and organizations across Western Canada with our new generation of offline, 3D interactive maps.
Off The Grid maps contain only vetted local content and are kept up to date year-round with new, season appropriate, satellite imagery, new map data and frequent map content updates as they become available. Off The Grid maps are available for download to people around the world via the Off The Grid mobile application built for Android & iOS.
With the Off The Grid pilot project complete we are now focusing our energy on building 3D maps to increase platform coverage. We encourage anyone interested in what we are doing to reach out and find out how they can become involved.
